A well-respected physician and expert in the field of surgical oncology, Eileen Consorti, M.D., has proven dedicated throughout her education and training. After graduating from high school, Eileen Consorti excelled as an undergraduate at San Diego State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minor in chemistry. Her dedication continued when, upon graduating, Eileen Consorti pursued graduate education at California State University, Northridge, to receive her Master’s degree in Chemistry. At the Loyola University Chicago’s Stritch School of Medicine, Eileen Consorti, M.D., excelled in several aspects of study and received her medical degree in 1993.
After receiving her M.D., Eileen Consorti wasted no time in continuing to follow her passion. Consorti began an internship in general surgery at the University of Minnesota in 1993, immediately after which she served a two-year residency at the same hospital. Eileen Consorti, M.D., then pursued a research fellowship in surgical oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, commencing a second residency and subsequently earning the prestigious title of Chief Resident at the center.
Since then, an array of surgical hospital appointments, including Kaiser Permanente and the offices of Lisa Bailey, M.D., has led Eileen Consorti to her current office, a private practice in Berkeley, California, where she specializes in surgical oncology. An extremely dedicated physician, Eileen Consorti, M.D., also holds the positions of Chair of Surgery at the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center and Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine. Her continued involvement with such organizations as the Society of Surgical Oncology, the Association of Women Surgeons, and the East Bay Surgical Society attests to Eileen Consorti’s continued passion and excellence in the field of surgical oncology and as a physician in general.
